Greetings from London!   We'd like to share a few bits of news that we thought you might be interested in:

Sounds From A Room

Tomorrow evening (London time), we'll be performing the seventh installment of Sounds from a Room, the monthly live music event taking place in the Roi des Belges, a boat placed atop Queen Elizabeth Hall in London, throughout the city's Olympic year as part of Room for London.

The event will be like a live DJ set of tUnE-yArDs music and other covers, as if the looping pedals are our turntables. The music won't stop and the dancing won't either. Guest stars will be two singers from the Nigerian New Covenant Church in London.

You can tune in at work or at home (via the Room for London website and The Guardian) or you can drop by the Queen Elizabeth Hall Front Room in the Southbank Centre to dance to the simulcast. DJ Fitz starts at 5pm, the set starts at 6pm GMT (1pm ET/10am PT for those of you watching online).

Africa in Your Earbuds

Merrill has put together a half-hour mix of some of her favorite Congolese, Ethiopian, Nigerian, Somalian, South African and Tanzanian music for Okay Africa's 22nd installment of Africa in Your Earbuds mix series. You can stream the mix and read more about it on Okay Africa's site.
